a) To pause a blending cycle, press Start/Start, note the program will time out after 5 minutes of no interaction. To stop a program entirely, press Start/Stop.

a) Yes, but only in the Pitcher included with this unit. DO NOT blend hot or warm liquids or ingredients beyond the MAX HOT LIQUID fill line. ALWAYS blend hot ingredients or liquids using the Soup IQ Program.

a) To assemble place the pitcher on your motor base so it forms a diamond. When you are facing the front of the blender the pitcher handle should be on the right side of the base or facing you for the pitcher to sit correctly. Once the pitcher is on the base, twist clockwise or to the left to form a square and lock the pitcher in place. The handle will now be aligned with the front right corner or front left corner of the base.
a) Place lid onto the Pitcher, press down firmly, then press both side clips onto lid fully, so they snap onto lip of Pitcher. Insert the lid cap into the lid and turn clockwise to lock into place.
a) To remove the lid, pull up one of the side tabs, then lift off the lid. The Pitcher can then be emptied. If hot ingredients were blended, place the Pitcher on a flat surface, carefully hold the Pitcher handle, and remove the lid. Exercise caution when pouring hot ingredients.
a) Certain Auto-iQ programs are compatible with each container. You are able to select only those programs that are illuminated once a certain container is locked in place on the base.
a) The EXTRACT program is ideal for hard, leafy, or fibrous whole fruits and vegetables, including their skins, seeds, and stems. EXTRACT is best used when making juices, ice pops, or morning green shots with these ingredients.
a) It is not recommended to ground coffee in your pitcher.
a) Yes, you can use the Nut Butter IQ program.
a) The button will flash when a container is properly attached to the base and ready to use. When flashing avoid any contact with moveable parts.
a) The ingredients have been over-processed. Use PULSE mode for controlled processing.
a) Depending on the recipe, you may need a little extra help getting ingredients down to the blades of your Pitcher. Some specific moments that might call for using your Tamper include but are not limited to: large-batch recipes, highly frozen ice cream recipes, nut butter recipes with no added oil, and purees with little to no added liquid (think hummus or bean dip).
a) If desired, or if ingredients are not blending properly, use the Tamper to help push ingredients toward the blades. While your unit is running, remove the lid cap and insert the Tamper through the opening. Then, angle the Tamper into each of the 4 corners of the Pitcher, pushing ingredients toward the blades. DO NOT use the tamper when blending hot ingredient or liquids.
a) You can use the tamper while the unit is running, but can only insert the tamper through the lid cap opening. By doing so, the tamper will not make contact with the blades.
a) The mixture is too thick. Add more liquid or use the Tamper to help push the ingredients toward the blades. DO NOT use the tamper when blending hot liquids or ingredients.
a) Do not use ice that has been sitting out or has started to melt. Use ice straight from the freezer. b) Start with a few pulses and then go to a continuous blending cycle. c) For best results, use the Tamper to push the ice down toward the blades.
a) Yes, but only remove the center lid cap. DO NOT add ingredients to the blender while blending hot ingredients
a) No, remove the lid to pour ingredients out of the pitcher or use a serving tool.
a) The container is not installed on the base properly. For your safety, the unit will be able to be turned on only when the container is properly installed. Please refer to the assembly pages of this instruction manual for assistance.
a) Your motor has overheated or your unit has been running continuously for more than 3 minutes within a brief period of time. If this occurs, simply unplug the unit, remove the container, and allow unit to cool before restarting.
a) CLEAN mode is intended to be used as a single cycle for the cup. The unit will prohibit a user from running back-to-back CLEAN mode cycles and display "Err" message. If the container is not completely clean after the CLEAN cycle is complete, please follow hand-washing or dishwasher instructions.
a) Pitcher: To run the self-cleaning program with the Pitcher, first add warm water to the MAX CLEAN line and two drops of dishwashing soap to the Pitcher. Secure Pitcher lid and lid cap in place. Select CLEAN mode, then press START/STOP to begin. The unit will shut down when the self-cleaning cycle is complete. Make sure to thoroughly rinse and air-dry the Pitcher. b) Cup: When using CLEAN mode for the blender cup, fill the cup halfway with warm water and add one drop of dishwashing soap. Secure the Pro Extractor Blades Assembly to the blender cup, then install cup onto motor base. Select CLEAN mode, then press START/STOP to begin. The unit will shut down when the self-cleaning cycle is complete. Make sure to thoroughly rinse and air-dry the cup.
a. Hand-Washing: Wash containers, blade assemblies, lids, and Tamper in warm, soapy water, using a dishwashing utensil with a handle to avoid direct contact with the blades. Exercise care when washing Pro-Extractor Blades Assembly and Pitcher, as the blade assemblies are sharp. Thoroughly rinse and air-dry all parts. b. Dishwasher: The Tamper and all containers, lids, and blade assemblies are dishwasher safe. It is recommended that the Tamper and lids be placed on the top rack of the dishwasher. Exercise care when handling Pitcher and Pro Extractor Blades assembly, as the blade assemblies are sharp. c. Using CLEAN Mode: To run the self-cleaning program with the Pitcher, first add warm water to the MAX CLEAN line and a couple drops of dishwashing soap to the Pitcher. Secure the Pitcher lid and lid cap in place. Select CLEAN mode, then press START/STOP to begin. The unit will shut down when the self-cleaning cycle is complete. Make sure to thoroughly rinse and air-dry the Pitcher. When using CLEAN mode for the blender cup, fill the cup halfway with warm water and add one drop of dishwashing soap. d. Motor Base: Turn off the unit and unplug the motor base before cleaning. Wipe motor base with a clean, damp cloth. Clean the control panel with a soft cloth, such as microfiber, to prevent scratching. To remove residue from the control panel, you may use an all-purpose cleaner.
