How do I care for my Nutri Ninja | Ninja Blender DUO?

Use a damp cloth to wipe the motor base clean. The pitcher, blades, Nutri Ninja cups and lids are dishwasher safe, and it is recommended to put the blades, Nutri Ninja cups, and lids on the top rack. You can also squeeze 2-3 drops of dish soap into the jar, fill halfway with warm water, and pulse 5-10 times. For easiest cleaning, rinse or clean the cups and blades immediately after use. The Nutri Ninja cups and blades are also dishwasher safe. Use extreme caution when cleaning & handling the blades. Always store the blades in the pitcher or a safe area.

Are all of the Auto-iQ programs different?

Yes, each program has been optimized for the function as well as the jar. These intelligent programs combine unique, timed pulsing, blending and pausing patterns to provide consistent, delicious results every time.

Why do only certain buttons light up when I put the Blender or Nutri Ninja Cup on the base?

Each program has been designed specifically for the jar attached to the base. Certain programs will only work when certain jars are attached. If the program light does not illuminate when the jar is attached, that program will not run and you will get an "ERR" message on the display.

What is the difference between Blend and Ultra Blend?

Auto-iQ Nutri Ninja Blend and Auto-iQ Nutri Ninja Ultra Blend have been designed specifically for use with the Nutri Ninja Cups. Blend is a shorter program perfect when using ingredients such as fresh fruit, leafy greens such as spinach, or yogurt. Ultra Blend is slightly longer program designed for breaking down tougher ingredients such as frozen fruit, ice, kale, seeds, and nuts.

Why does the timer count up when using Low, Medium or High?

The timer on the control panel will count down when using the Auto-iQ programs as these have been designed to provide optimal performance. When using the manual settings (low, medium, high) the timer will count up to all you to track the amount of time you have been blending on that specific setting

Can the Nutri Ninja | Ninja Blender DUO handle frozen ingredients such as ice & frozen fruit?

Yes, the Ninja blades help break down frozen ingredients in seconds. For best results, use one of the Auto-iQ programs.

What if my blender will not turn on?
  • Be sure your blender is assembled correctly and plugged in. The handle should be facing the front left or front right corner of the blender base. If the power light is solid, you have assembled the blender correctly.
  • The unit may be overheated. As a safety feature, the motor will automatically shut off if it becomes too warm during heavy loads. Unplug the unit from the wall and wait 15 minutes before using again.
  • For troubleshooting and assembly tips at any time, refer to the Instruction Booklet which can be found in the packaging of your unit.

The grinder works on both the BL488W and BL492W; actually the grinder works on the BL480, BL490, BL640 and BL680 Auto iQ series.

Which button should I press when using the grinder attachment?

For best performance press either HIGH or Start/STOP to grind your ingredients.
