Yes. The basket has a nonstick ceramic coating.
The temperature ranges from 105 degrees F (for Dehydrate) to 400 degrees F (Air Fry)
The timer increments vary depending on the function:
- Air Fry: 1-minute increments up to 1 hour
- Roast: 1-minute increments for the first hour, followed by 5-minute increments for the next 3 hours
- Dehydrate: 15-minute increments up to 12 hours
- Reheat: 1-minute increments up to 1 hour
- Bake: 1-minute increments for the first 30 minutes, followed by 5-minute increments for the next 3 1/2 hours
Yes. It is safe to use parchment paper and aluminum foil in the basket. The use of aluminum foil is suggested in some recipes.
When the unit is powered on, the digital display will show 0:00.
For best results, we recommend that you preheat the unit for 3 minutes before adding ingredients. To preheat, simply add an additional 3 minutes to your total cook time and allow the unit to come up to temperature before adding ingredients.
The basket and crisper plate are made of aluminum with a nonstick ceramic coating. The unit's exterior is BPA free and uses FDA-approved food-safe plastic.
Although the outside of the unit will heat up during the cooking process, the control panel and air fry basket handle will remain safe to touch.
Yes. It is important to shake or rotate your food for consistent browning and crispiness. For best results, follow the recipe or cooking chart to find out how often you should shake or rotate ingredients while cooking.
Although oil is not required, we recommend starting with one tablespoon and adjusting for personal preference, or referencing the recipe for recommended oil amounts.
Yes. We recommend checking on your food regularly throughout the cooking process. Simply pull out the basket and shake or rotate the food. The timer will pause automatically and the heater and fan will shut off when the basket is removed. When you are done, slide the basket back into place. The timer will start and the unit will automatically resume cooking.
The power button is located on the bottom right side of the unit.
Yes. When you pull the basket out of the unit, cooking will automatically pause. Once the basket is back in the unit, cooking will resume.
The exhaust vent is located on the back side of the unit. This area will heat up during cooking. Be sure to keep the unit at least 5 inches away from any other surfaces.
To clean the main unit and the control panel, wipe them clean with a damp cloth. The air fry basket, crisper plate, and any other accessories can be washed in the dishwasher. If food residue is stuck on the basket or crisper plate, place them in a sink filled with warm, soapy water and allow to soak. Thoroughly air-dry or towel-dry all parts after cleaning.
The unit, basket, and crisper plate should be thoroughly cleaned after every use. Before cleaning, unplug the unit from the wall outlet. To clean the main unit and control panel, wipe them with a damp cloth. The basket and crisper plate are both dishwasher safe. If there is food residue stuck on the basket or crisper plate, place them in a sink filled with warm, soapy water and allow them to soak. Use a soft sponge to help remove any remaining residue. Thoroughly air-dry or towel-dry all parts after cleaning.
Yes. You can adjust the cook time at any point during cooking by using the up and down TIME arrows.
For best results, let the unit preheat for 3 minutes before adding ingredients.

The countdown timer will pause automatically when you remove the air fry basket from the unit. Pressing START/STOP during cooking will stop the cooking function.
Place the basket on heat-safe surfaces only and use caution when handling as the basket will get hot during cooking.
Use the crisper plate when you want food to come out crispy. The plate elevates the food in the air fry basket so air can flow under it for even cooking and crisping.
The unit has 7 different cooking functions: Max Crisp, Air Broil, Air Fry, Dehydrate, Air Roast, Bake, and Reheat (Max Crisp and Air Broil not included in all models). -AF161 has 7 -AF150 has 5 (no Max Crisp or Air Broil)
The display shows in HH:MM (hours, minutes).
Yes. you can adjust the cook time or temperature at any point throughout the cooking process by using the up and down TIME and/or TEMP arrows.
Reduce the cook temperature by 25 degrees F.
Yes, but use the proper breading technique. It is important to coat foods first with flour, then with egg, and then with bread crumbs. Be sure to press the bread crumbs onto the food with your hands. Because the air fryer has a powerful fan as part of its mechanism, breading can sometimes be blown off. Pressing the bread crumbs firmly on will help them adhere.
The beeping means the cook time is complete.
The maximum temperature setting is 400 degrees F.
Occasionally, the fan from the air fryer will blow lightweight foods around. To alleviate this, secure foods (like the top slice of bread on a sandwich) with toothpicks.
